The 2017 Honda CMX500 Rebel and Honda Activa 6G are accessible two-wheelers developed for different markets and uses. The CMX500 is a European-market A2-license cruiser with a manual gearbox. The Activa 6G is an Indian urban scooter with an automatic CVT. Both are friendly to operate, but only one arrives with a clutch lever.
The model years also differ: the CMX500 was introduced for 2017, while the Activa 6G arrived in 2020 as a replacement for the Activa 5G.

Low Cruiser or Practical Scooter?
The Rebel’s extremely low seat and predictable twin-cylinder engine make it approachable despite its larger size. It is capable of sustained highway speeds and offers proper motorcycle braking and suspension, with ABS available depending on specification.
The Activa is designed around short urban travel. Its step-through frame, under-seat storage, automatic transmission and external fuel filler make errands easy. Telescopic front suspension and fuel injection were meaningful improvements over earlier Activa generations.
Choose the Rebel for open roads, manual control and longer distances. Choose the Activa for dense Indian city traffic and practical daily mobility. Their shared strength is ease of use; their shared weakness is that neither can explain why the groceries always include one item too large for the available storage.
