The Qingqi QM125-5G and QM50QT-6E are small Chinese commuter machines built around different formats. The QM125-5G is an underbone motorcycle with large 17-inch wheels and a nominal 125-class engine. The QM50QT-6E belongs to Qingqi’s compact 50 cc step-through scooter family, using small wheels and a continuously variable automatic transmission.
Qingqi models were sold in China and exported under several distributor names. Surviving documentation is uneven, particularly for suffix variants. Buyers should treat the model plate and VIN as the final authority when ordering parts; one additional letter can be the difference between a successful repair and an interesting box on the workbench.

Which Qingqi Is More Practical?
The QM125-5G offers greater speed, larger wheels and two-person capacity, making it the more flexible choice for longer urban trips and rougher road surfaces. Its underbone layout retains easy step-through access while behaving more like a conventional small motorcycle.
The QM50QT-6E is better suited to short, low-speed trips. Its CVT removes manual shifting, and the smaller chassis is easier to park and move by hand. Licensing and registration rules for 50 cc machines vary by country, so displacement alone does not determine how it may legally be used.
For either model, parts availability and condition matter more than published performance. Confirm the engine code, brake type, wheel size and electrical system before buying replacement components.
