Mahindra Flyte vs. Centuro N1

The Mahindra Flyte and Centuro N1 were Indian-market commuters with similar missions but different control layouts. The Flyte was a 125 cc automatic scooter with step-through bodywork and under-seat storage. The Centuro N1 was a geared 110-class motorcycle offering larger wheels, a manual transmission and several unusually elaborate security features.

Both models are discontinued, making this primarily a used-vehicle comparison. Service history and local parts availability deserve at least as much attention as the original brochure figures.

Which Mahindra Commuter Makes Sense?

The Flyte is easier for short urban errands. Its CVT removes clutch and gear work, while the flat floor and storage compartment improve day-to-day practicality. The 125 cc engine produces useful city performance, although the small fuel tank and scooter chassis are less attractive for longer distances.

The Centuro N1 favors range and conventional motorcycle handling. Its larger wheels and four-speed gearbox better suit mixed city and rural roads. Mahindra also equipped the N1 with an encrypted remote flip key, engine immobilizer, anti-theft alarm and “find me” lamps—an impressive amount of ceremony for locating a 106.7 cc commuter.

Choose the Flyte for automatic convenience and carrying small items. Choose the Centuro N1 for fuel range, larger wheels and manual control. Before buying either, confirm that model-specific bodywork, electrical components and transmission parts remain obtainable nearby.
