The 2017 Suzuki Let’s and Burgman 400 both use automatic transmissions and step-through bodywork, but they occupy opposite ends of the scooter category. The Let’s is a lightweight, India-market city scooter designed for short trips and low operating costs. It was not officially sold in the United States. The Burgman 400 is a highway-capable maxi-scooter launched in Europe and North America for 2017.
In other words, this comparison is less about identifying rivals and more about demonstrating the considerable elasticity of the word “scooter.”

City Scooter or Maxi-Scooter?
The Let’s is the easier machine to move through dense traffic, park in a narrow space or roll around by hand. Its modest engine, drum brakes and small wheels reflect its role as affordable urban transportation. For solo commuting at city speeds, that simplicity is the point rather than an omission.
The Burgman 400 brings far more performance, physical size and weather protection. Suzuki gave the redesigned 2017 model LED lighting, a 42-liter under-seat compartment and a chassis suited to longer distances. It can carry highway speed with much greater ease, accommodate a passenger more comfortably and store substantially more gear.
Choose the Let’s when low weight, fuel use and purchase cost are the priorities in an Indian urban setting. Choose the Burgman 400 for U.S. use, highway travel or two-up comfort. Cross-shopping them on price alone would overlook nearly everything that makes either scooter useful.
