Here’s a video to watch for a laugh, a Cybertruck towing over light snow… with predictable results:

As the truck loses traction, the trailer jackknifes like it just remembered it had somewhere to be, slams into the back of the Cybertruck, and then nails a tree for good measure. The best part? The driver shouting, with perfect comedic timing, “NOT AGAIN!”
Buddy, How Many Times Are We Doing This?
Now, we’re no detectives, but “NOT AGAIN!” suggests that this particular Cybertruck owner may be having a bit of a recurring problem with, oh, I don’t know, physics. Snow, gravity, and terrible traction control have formed an unholy trinity against his $130K aluminum brick.
The video clearly shows the Cybertruck struggling for traction on what amounts to a light dusting of snow. Wheels spinning, no motion. Brake lights on, no slowing. Rather than trying to keep it straight, he makes it maybe 10 yards before jackknifing and screwing up both his trailer and his bumper.
We’re not talking about the Donner Pass here. This is basically the bunny hill. I’ve towed over worse. Yet the truck slides helplessly backward as though it was cursed by an old bog witch for blocking the charging station.
Towing With a Cybertruck? Probably Just Don’t.
The timing of this video is perfection because JerryRigEverything just put out a video warning people to never, ever tow with a Cybertruck. Why? That’s because of its cast aluminum frame, which may or may not disintegrate like wet toilet paper if you put any meaningful stress on it.

We’re not saying this guy watched the PSA and said, “You’re not my manager, Jerry!” but we’re not not saying it.
Oh, and if you DO tow with your Cybertruck, be aware. You can jackknife moving forward, too. Because that’s fun. The designers apparently didn’t think to limit the turning radius while in tow mode, so you can turn hard enough to damage your own vehicle. Brilliant!

In response to a truly absurd claim from a fawning sycophant, where the fanboy claimed that rumors of poor performance on snow were negated by a video of him driving over a literally fully plowed highway with no snow on the clearly visible blacktop, Elon replied:
Well, there you have it, folks. Performance on clean blacktop when its cold outside, that is the same thing as snow performance. Don’t believe your eyes, believe this here guy.
Just Get a Truck That Can Do Truck Stuff
The internet is collectively groaning over Cybertruck owners discovering, in real time, that they have purchased a very heavy and extremely expensive sculpture with problematic political undertones.
So, to our “NOT AGAIN!” friend in the Cybertruck:
- If you’re going to tow in the snow, maybe consider a vehicle that is capable of towing in the snow.
- Or, alternatively, install a sound system to play Yakety Sax every time you attempt it.
