What’s that thing they say about the definition of insanity… Trying the same thing over and over, and expecting a different result? Something like that, anyhow.
On a totally unrelated note, a Cybertruck driver experienced very troubling repeat behavior from their EV behemoth while in the recently unlocked Full Self Driving (FSD) mode.
Cybertruck is Unreliable at Spotting Pedestrians
The driver describes dangerous pedestrian interactions as a repeat occurrence:
“Human intervention stopped the collision, but this is the second time a pedestrian has been scared. The first time was driving into setting sun and neither I nor Cybertruck saw pedestrian dart out into a crosswalk. I braked in time but pedestrian had to dodge.
I love FSD and use nearly every drive but it doesn’t prioritize pedestrian safety IMO.” – A New Orleans Cybertruck Driver
Cybertruck FSD Ignoring Pedestrians
Take a look, the video is pretty rough – the pedestrian is startled, and the Cybertruck gets very close before human intervention applies the brakes. Also it rolls the stop sign. It’s a shitty piece of driving.

Other Cybertruck Drivers React
As a gnarly kicker, the first Cybertruck owner to reply on the thread shares this thoroughly tasteless meme about running over pedestrians for points.
Stay classy, Cybertruckers!

For the record, I agree with our Cybertruck driver down in New Orleans. I also do not think that Tesla FSD prioritizes pedestrian safety.
